LESSON I. Why Do I Do Personal Evangelism?
Evangelism-develops sharing the gospel of Christ.
-proclaim the good news of the gospel of Christ.
-(Mat. 28:18-20) "And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, "All power is given unto unto me in Heaven and in earth".Go ye therefore and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son nad of the Holy Spirit:Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you:and lo, I am with you all way;even unto the end of the world.Amen."
-(Acts 1:Cool "But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Spirit is come upon you:and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and in Samaria, and unto the utter most part of the earth."
-(Romans 1:16-17) "For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ:for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believeth;to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. For therein is the righteousness of God revealed form faith to faith:as it is written, 'the just shall live by faith'."
-(Isaiah 61) 1The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound;

2To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn;

3To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he might be glorified.

4And they shall build the old wastes, they shall raise up the former desolations, and they shall repair the waste cities, the desolations of many generations.

5And strangers shall stand and feed your flocks, and the sons of the alien shall be your plowmen and your vinedressers.

6But ye shall be named the Priests of the LORD: men shall call you the Ministers of our God: ye shall eat the riches of the Gentiles, and in their glory shall ye boast yourselves.

7For your shame ye shall have double; and for confusion they shall rejoice in their portion: therefore in their land they shall possess the double: everlasting joy shall be unto them.

8For I the LORD love judgment, I hate robbery for burnt offering; and I will direct their work in truth, and I will make an everlasting covenant with them.

9And their seed shall be known among the Gentiles, and their offspring among the people: all that see them shall acknowledge them, that they are the seed which the LORD hath blessed.

10I will greatly rejoice in the LORD, my soul shall be joyful in my God; for he hath clothed me with the garments of salvation, he hath covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decketh himself with ornaments, and as a bride adorneth herself with her jewels.

11For as the earth bringeth forth her bud, and as the garden causeth the things that are sown in it to spring forth; so the Lord GOD will cause righteousness and praise to spring forth before all the nations.
-(Romans 10:9-17) 9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

11 For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.

12 For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.

13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

14 How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?

15 And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!

16 But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Esaias saith, Lord, who hath believed our report?

17 So then faith [cometh] by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
ROMAN ROAD VERSES TO SALVATION:
Romans 3:10-As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:
3:23-For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
5:12-Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:
5:8-Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:
6:23-For the wages of sin [is] death; but the gift of God [is] eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
10:9-That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
10:10-For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

-There's no issue about sharing the gospel, but teh problem is the who is sharing it-maybe he/she is ashame to do sharing for the reason that they already know you(of your past), and therefore they doubt or might not believe on what you are sharing them.
-So the best thing is to pray for the Holy Spirit guide you to say the right words.

WE HAVE BEEN TAUGHT TO TEACH,WON TO WIN,SAVED TO SERVE
THE GREATEST NEED INTRODUCTION:
-more genuine concern to the lost.
1.Romans 9:1-3;10:11-Paul’s heart had “great grief & unceasing sorrows”
2.Illustrations-If everyone had a terminal illness and you found the cure, would you share it or keep it to yourself?
3.Jude 22;Mat. 7:12- How many are lost?
Walk down the street in your neighborhood 7 look at the houses.
A.The need is fulfilled through the Lord’s plan of Evangelism
a.The early church carried out the great commission in 29 years.(Mark16:16;Col. 1:23)
b.The Lord’s plan is most effective
-Lord adds people to his church as they are saved(Acts 2:41,47) The Lord’s plan is multiplicative.
-14th year-6 billion would be reach so in 14 years the whole world would be Christians.
-Teaching is the 2nd half of Christianity.Evangelism is not complete until the evangelized become the evangelist(2 Tim. 2:2)
-Not all have honest hearts,in actuality, many will reject the gospel message.(Mat.5:13-14)
B. The scope of the need –the field is the world(Mat.13:38)-and we are to teach every creature.Opportunities are unlimited(John 4:35-14)
C.The reasons why I/YOU need to be a personal worker:
1.It is the direct command(Mat.28:18-20)
-We are part of the royal priesthood(I Peter 2:Cool
Priest-studied the law and taught the people
-study God's Word and bless people with the gospel so they can receive the forgiveness of their sins.
-The reasons why we are not taken by the Lord right away once we come to Him is so that once we have been called out,we can go back into the world & call others out as well.
2.It is necessary for self-preservations(John15:16)
-personal evangelism is the best means of personal growth
-cut down tree without fruit(Luke 13:6-9)
-Noah preached 120 years yet he never quit.
3.It should be a natural result of our love for others.
-Help others save their soul-great gift
-Don't keep gospel to ourselves
-Don't rarely share the greatest remedy on earth
-The key to love others-compassion(Mat.9:37-38)
4.Because of the value of a soul
-We will never really consider the lost until we stop & count the cost
-Soul-most valuable possession(Mat.16:26;I Pet. 1:18-20)
5.Because we need to be like the early church
-2 fold purpose:gather the saved and scatter the seed.
-early church went everywhere preaching (Acts 8:4;26:20)
-this is what they lived for-it was the impelling force of their love.
6.Because of the terror of the Lord(II Cor. 5:11)
-Do we believe in hell?(Mark16:16) We live by faith not by sight.
-Fearful-to fall into the hand of the Living God.
7.Because we are a debtor
-Paul was a deebtor to teach(Rom.1:14-17)
-Share the gospel with others-least we can do for him with all that he has done for us (II Cor. 5:14-15)
8.Because of the joy of being a personal worker
-There is joy you give your Heavenly Father.
-Luke 15:7-cause the angels to rejoice
-Make God smile & have a joyous effect on deity
-Personal joy you experience
-Paul reffered to his joy and crown(Phil. 4:1)
-John states that he had no greater joy than to hear of my children walking in truth.
-There is not a more satisfyinf feeling than to use someone you've taught to obey the truth & then continue to witness a transformed life.
-you in one sense become immortal and live through others...shine as the stars even after you die(Dan.12:3)
-We need to have more visions inthe church.
-Take vision to see how many apples are in each seed & not how many seeds are in each apple.
C.You must fulfill this need or the church will decline and suffer greatly.
a.Lifeblood of any congregation is its teaching program
b.If a church becomes apathetic about this,they are doomed(Rev. 3:15-16)
-church should not edify as it should and would lose its influence
-internal problems always arise when we look inward instead of outward
-without personal workers, the church will stagnate and die
c.What you do for the Lord regarding to saving lost souls(Pro.11:30,Rom.10:14-15,I Cor. 11:1)
d.A few objections considered
-"not enough talent"(Mat 25:14-30)
-"afraid" So was one the talent man & he was called into judgement
-"don't know much"-share what you know
(The best way to learn the truth is to practice as you learn it)

THREE KEYS TO WITNESSING:
1. Preparation-be prepare spiritually and physically
-prepare yourself in a prayer
-dress up properly,look presentably
-emotional preparations
2.Being a witness-(Acts 1:8; Pro. 11:30)
-soulwinning(Mat.28:18-20)
-it is our responsibility/ this is a command that we ned to obey
Some keys in to being a witnesses:
1.Earn the right to witness.
2.Use gospel tracks.
3.Use God's 10 commandments(Exo. 20)
4.The prayer of acceptance
3.Discipleship-According to Scripture, being a Christian disciple involves personal growth characterized by the following:
1. Putting Jesus first in all things (Mark 8:34-38). The disciple of Christ needs to be set apart from the world. Our focus should be on our Lord and pleasing Him in every area of our lives. We must put off self-centeredness and put on Christ-centeredness.

2. Following Jesus' teachings (John 8:31-32). We must be obedient children and doers of the Word. Obedience is the supreme test of faith in God (1 Samuel 28:18), and Jesus is the perfect example of obedience as He lived a life on earth of complete obedience to the Father even to the point of death (Philippians 3:6-Cool.

3. Fruitfulness (John 15:5-Cool. Our job is not producing fruit. Our job is to abide in Christ, and if we do, the Holy Spirit will produce the fruit, and this fruit is the result of our obedience. As we become more obedient to the Lord and learn to walk in His ways, our lives will change. The biggest change will take place in our hearts, and the overflow of this will be new conduct (thoughts, words and actions) representative of that change. The change we seek is done from the inside out, through the power of the Holy Spirit. It isn’t something we can conjure up on our own.

4. Love for other disciples (John 13:34-35). We are told that love of other believers is the evidence of our being a member of God's family (1 John 3:10). Love is defined and elaborated on in 1 Corinthians 13:1-13. These verses show us that love is not an emotion; it is action. We must be doing something and involved in the process. Furthermore, we are told to think more highly of others than of ourselves and to look out for their interests (Philippians 2:3-4). The next verse in Philippians (verse 5) really sums up what we are to do when it comes to everything in life: "our attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus." What a perfect example He is to us for everything we are to do in our Christian walk.

5. Evangelism - Making disciples of others (Matthew 28:18-20). We are to share our faith and tell nonbelievers about the wonderful changes Jesus Christ has made in our lives. No matter what our maturity level in the Christian life, we have something to offer. Too often, we believe the lie from Satan that we don't really know enough or haven't been a Christian long enough to make a difference. Not true! Some of the most enthusiastic representatives of the Christian life are new believers who have just discovered the awesome love of God. They may not know a lot of Bible verses or the "accepted" way of saying things, but they have experienced the love of the living God, and that is exactly what we are to share.

TELL THEM...
My friend, I stand in judgement now,
In fear with you to blame somehow,
On earth I walk with you by day,
And never did you show the way.

You knew tha Savior in truth and glory,
But never did you tell the story,
My knowledge then is very dim,
You could have led me safe to him.

Though we live together here on earth,
You never told me of the second birth,
And now I stand before eternal hell,
Because of Heaven's Glory you did not tell.
